local smallmouth water in good shape

Got out on some local smallmouth water yesterday and the water was in perfect shape. I could only convince one smallie to take a Dixie Devil popper (although he was a nice size and exploded on the fly). The other fifteen smallmouth all wanted the Bead Head Rubber Leg Bugger. Swinging streamers through the fast water is a good way to distance yourself from society. –Mark
